Stephanie Austin
Stephanie Austin is the event coordinator for Research Development at the University of Arizona, where she plans and executes events that foster collaboration and advance the university’s research enterprise. Known for her strong communication skills and people-focused mindset, she excels at building lasting connections across teams and stakeholders. In addition to coordinating campus visits, workshops, and high-profile engagements, she supports operations, proposals, industry engagement, and internal honors and awards. With more than 20 years of experience in event planning, administration, and leadership—including roles in bank management, small business, and K–12 education—Stephanie brings deep expertise in coordination, logistics, and relationship-building. She leverages a wide range of tools to streamline communication and support collaboration, including project management systems and virtual event platforms. A longtime volunteer in the Flowing Wells School District, she has led fine arts fundraising, travel coordination, and parent organizations with warmth, empathy, and attention to detail. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and playing stand-up bass in local Tucson gigs.
